I haven't updated much on the house lately, because, well, to be honest, there haven't been a lot of NOTICEABLE changes. They are getting a lot of the nitty gritty stuff done, and it has also been harder to get inside, because we have to make sure to go when someone is there, otherwise we are locked out.
Since I last posted they have "placed the concrete" in the garage (and that is the technical, engineer term...holla at ya, Dad).
The garage doors are on, the stone is on the front of the house...
...the wood floors are in (although they are covered up with cardboard until the end now to prevent anything from happening to them with all the people coming in and out)...
...the appliances are in (mostly...some are still not hooked up)...
...the wrought iron balusters are in...
...plumbing is in, etc.
OK, so that sounds like a lot. But to us it seems like ONE little thing is getting done each day. It definitely seems as if some of this stuff could have been done a little quicker, but I guess I can't complain since our whole house is being completed in just under 100 days. Yes that's right. As of right now, we are scheduled to close and move in on July 11th...two weeks from today!
In the meantime, they still need to do the carpet (which was supposed to be done today, but wasn't??), touch up all the paint and trim, put our columns on our porch, finish the driveway and the sidewalk to our front porch, the patio out our basement door, and put shelves in all the closets. CUH-RAZY! We have our pre-walk through scheduled for this Friday, with the final walk though scheduled for the following Friday, so I am guessing that most all, if not all, should be done by the end of this week!
The countdown is ON! :)

Um, how about "holla at ya, sista?"
Floors look great, and I like the appliances you guys picked out (a little jealous of that french door fridge... sooo nice). How fun to have a new house and new appliances to "break-in". You guys are getting so close to move in day! Eep!
I think the progress is amazing. You'll be in before you know it. I'm still wanting them to get that driveway "placed".
Love ya....
Wow! I can't believe you can move in in just 2 more weeks! YAY!!! I bet you are dying to get in there! It looks gorgeous!
Beautiful! Love the paint, love the cabinets, love the stainless steel appliances. Can you believe you are almost homeowners?!!! Woohoo!
WOAHH!!! This has come together so quickly!! How exciting! What a beautiful home :D
