House - Day 74

Sorry folks.  Another house post.

The good news?  We are set to close on July 11...three and a half weeks from now.  So you won't have to deal with my house posts much longer.

The bad news?  Well, now that we are moving into a house, you will probably have to deal with posts about my adventures in decorating the house...or quite possibly, not for a while since a) I have no idea what I want to do and b) I don't necessarily have the funds to take on said decorating.  We shall see.

To be honest it has been a CrAzY couple of weeks. 

We have been doing house stuff (well, obviously).

Our apartment is being shown to prospective renters almost daily (which for me, requires a LOT of cleaning and finding excuses to leave the apartment so you don't have that awkward, "Hey, how are ya, please enjoy looking through me stuff," youknowwhatImean??). 

And the Minnesota Clark Clan 1.0 (aka Don and Cindy and fam) are gearing up to move to INDIA for two years.  Yes, India, as in Bollywood, Slumdog Millionaire, the Taj Mahal, et al.  I pretty much don't know what I am going to do without them up here.  So we have been trying to squeeze in some time with them (going away parties, Sunday night dinners, etc.) before they bail on us on Monday. 

Anyhoo...I am feeling pretty proud of myself for at least keeping up with the house posts for now.  Fortunately for those who are too interested in all thing house we have some other fun stuff coming up (Miley's THIRD birthday....whaaaaaat??).

The house is finally starting to get the little things in.  Lights, plumbing fixtures, hardware on the cabinets, and concrete in the garage have all been done.  Our hardwood floors were supposed to go in earlier this week, but due to the fact that our AC is not in yet, the house was too humid, so they had to be postponed to *hopefully* this weekend.  Thus, our appliances that were supposed to be delivered today also got pushed back a little bit (also due to the fact that our driveway / front yard is one giant mudhole, and when they tried to deliver them today, they couldn't figure out how to haul them through that).

We went over tonight to put the mirror in the half bathroom, and to drop off the garbage disposal for the plumbers to install.  So I finally have some updated pictures.

Can't wait to get the floors and appliances in...then it is REALLY going to start looking finished.  :)
