Miley's Prayer

Part of our nightly bedtime routine with Miley is to help her say prayers before she goes to sleep at night.  Usually, we say the prayer for her, and she will copy what we say.

However, she is becoming more and more interested in saying the prayer herself.

So tonight while we were saying our prayer, I was starting our typical phrases, if you will, and letting her finish them with what she wanted to say.  She was finishing most of them with what we usually say.  We got to the part of the prayer where we ask to have a good day tomorrow, and we ask Him to help us be good, kind, and to listen.

I started off, "Please help us to be..."

Miley's finishing touch?  "Awesome."

Well, Miley, I think your prayers have been answered, because you are pretty "awesome."  :)

Let's be honest, any two (almost three) year old would rather be awesome than be good kind, and listen! Ha ha! Smart girl, that Miley.

I agree with your sister, she is one smart girl! I love what they come up with in Prayers. Sometimes we get a prayer for Apple Drink, or for blankie :)

I loved this post. Kids' prayers are the best, huh? Just last night Alayna said she was thankful for pizza in her prayer. :)

I love hearing what the kids have to say during their prayers! Sometimes funny, sometimes touching--never dull!
