Happy Birthday Cameron!
Today is Cameron's 26th birthday...I can't believe that we have already known each other for 5 and a half years, and that he is now closer to 30 than he is to 20!

In honor of his birthday, I thought I would whip out one of these cheesy posts with 26 things I love about him.
Cameron on his birthday in 2007!

In honor of his birthday, I thought I would whip out one of these cheesy posts with 26 things I love about him.
- His highly contagious laugh...his laugh makes any decently funny movie, hilarious.
- His overall hotness. :)
- He works hard at everything he does...he doesn't settle for much less than perfect (except when choosing a wife...he way missed the perfect mark on that one!)
- The way he is still a kid a heart...everytime we watch a super hero movie (Spiderman, X-Men, Transformers, etc), he spends the next few hours pretending to be that super hero. Too funny.
- He will watch pretty much any chick flick with me, even though he would much rather watch something like the above mentioned movies.
- His love of sports, and how good he is at them! I hope someday he coaches our kids in their sports.
My hubby is #41 on the left side!! - The way he puts up with me and my crazy moods.
- How he is the best dad to Miley in the world. Miley ADORES him, and just lights up at the end of the day when he walks through the door.
- I love that he plans for our future, and works to save money, but still lets me splurge on things once in a while, without giving me too hard of a time. ;)
- He truly loves and cares so much about all of his family members, and would do anything for any of them.
- How he makes me still feel attractive, even when I am still packing around the baby weight, don't have makeup on, and haven't showered for a couple days. :)
- He will let me talk his ear off way late at night, when he would much rather be sleeping!
- How nice he is to EVERYONE he meets. I have never heard anyone say one bad thing about him the whole time we have known each other.
- The way he sings at the top of his lungs in the car, trying to get me to laugh.
- He puts up with my cooking (or my lack thereof) and pitches in and helps a LOT in the kitchen.
- I love that he wants to hold my hand in public, and kiss me and hug me in public, even though I am SO not a PDA person.
- He works so hard to support and provide for our family, which allows me to be able to stay home with Miley.
- He helps out a TON with Miley, and never has to be asked. He gives her baths, splits putting her to bed, feeds her on weekends and evenings, and will take her outside and play when I have reached my limit at the end of some days.
- He lets me watch all of my silly TV shows, and tries to act interested in them, so that he can talk to me about them.
- He will take dance classes (like swing classes) with me, and actually enjoys them!
- He is really sweet, and regularly brings me home flowers from the farmers market in the summer.
- I love that he is a total bragger dad...he will brag about Miley to anyone who will listen, and you can tell that he is so proud that she is ours! Probably to the point where people might get annoyed... :)
- He is totally goofy, and he brings out my goofy side as well. :)
- He gives GREAT bear hugs! :)
- He always wants my opinion and my help when he shop for clothes for himself. I think it is cute that he likes my advice.
- I LOVE that he picked me to be his wife!

Tomorrow...
...these three awesome people are coming to see us!

I get to spend 5 days with my sister Gelsey, my BIL, Kipp, and my nephew, Bode! I am so excited that they are coming up here to spend some time with us, and I hope we can show them a good time!
I happen to think I have the best family in the world (immediate, extended, in-laws, etc) and I love getting to hang out with them! It is always a good time.
Only 28 more hours until they are here...but who's counting. :)

The Great Minnesota Get Together
So this post is a little late, but I figured I better do it anyway, so that I have it here when I (eventually) turn this into a book.
We went to the Minnesota State Fair with our friends, Cameron and Cecia, over Labor Day weekend. It is unbelievable how crowded it is...I was SOOO grateful we didn't have our kids with us...it would have been a nightmare trying to push strollers through the crowd!
Cecia and I in front of the mass of people!

We were only able to go for a couple of hours, but we were able to squeeze in some good food (gyros, cheese curds, etc.) and some fun.
One of the best parts was going down this giant slide....Cecia and I went, but the boys thought they were too cool. I must say, I was probably a bigger whimp than half the kids going down. I seriously felt like I was going to catch some air a few times, so I stuck out my foot to slow me down. I was dying of laughter going down because Cecia was screaming the whole way down.

The boys opted for cheaper entertainment, like this free basketball shooting game...

We had a great time, even though those couple of hours REALLY wore us out! It was fun to be able to get to the place "Where Minnesota Gets Together". :)

...wheeeee!!!!!
Hanging on for dear life (at least, it felt like it!)
Laughing SOOO hard!

C-O-W-B-O-Y-S! Cowboys, Cowboys, COWBOYS!
Today our beloved Wyoming Cowboys will take part in a true David and Goliath match-up when they play the #2 ranked Texas Longhorns. My heart is a little sad that I am not in Laramie today, taking part in all of the madness with my fellow Wyomingites.
Do I think the Cowboys have a chance of winning? No. But does that stop me from hoping that we could pull off the biggest college football upset of the year? NO WAY!
We will be cheering today, all the way from Minnesota, with our little Cowgirl-in-training.
Go Cowboys! Beat those darn Longhorns!!

Camp Out, Clark Style
This last Friday, the 4th of September, we went to a camp out that some friends of ours, the Wilsons, put together. However, we were not feeling brave enough to camp with Miley, so we just went for the evening to hang out and eat some dinner, and then home to our own comfy beds. Hence, camping out "Clark Style" (or at least, Wendy Clark style).
Miley had a "ball" (literally, and figuratively). She was carrying any ball she could get her hands on around all night. Plus, she just had fun following all the other kids around and trying to get in on the action. We cooked hot dogs over the fire, and made s'mores a little later. Yummy!
We had so much fun, and it was a great turnout with about 13 families. Hopefully we can make this a tradition of sorts, and maybe next time we will be feeling courageous enough to try spending the night!
But I have to admit...it sure felt great to be in our large, comfy bed that night. :)

Thanks, Wilsons, for planning such a fun get together before summer leaves us!

She was in heaven, as long as she had that ball!!
Some of our friends, hanging around chatting and cooking food.
Miley sitting at the campfire, enjoying a graham cracker.
Miley and Cameron snuggling, once it started getting a little later.
Some of the girls talking (and yes, there were some very brave ladies...there were about 6 babies nine months old and younger...but I think some of them bailed, like us) :)
Miley still enjoying the fire after dark (the picture turned out kind of funky, because I was playing with the settings on my camera).

Kelly's Visit
Now that it has been almost a week since Kelly was here, I figured I better blog about it...otherwise I am going to get myself into a blogging debt where I have about 4 posts to catch up on. So here goes.
We had a relaxing time, just catching up, hanging out, and letting Miley get to know Kelly. Most of these pictures are with Miley, because that is when Kelly would whip out her camera. We had lots of time without Miley too, but as you all know about my lame picture taking abilities, there are not any pictures of those. But we still had tons of fun...
...going out to lunch...

...pulling Miley around in a "car" that Cameron made for her...

...taking pictures of Miley in the bath...

...and bribing Miley to go to Kelly with treats!

We were also able to squeeze in some park time...

...and by the end, I think Miley warmed up to Kelly pretty well!

It was a great few days with lots of shopping, movie watching, and late night talks. I am so glad to have a friend like Kelly, and I can't wait to see her again soon!
