Cheering for the Wolves

On Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend, we got to cap off the fun with a Timberwolves game in a suite at the Target Center.  We went with Cameron's brother, Don, and his family, and they brought along some friends, and our friend, the Ferrins, joined us as well.

This was the first basketball game we have taken Miley to....we figured since we were in the suite we could bring her along, because there is space to run around.  She LOVED the game.  She would stand watching over the railing, and happily clap and dance along whenever there was something going on.

But, we are thankful that we were in the suite, because she definitely did her fair share of running, climbing, dancing, hiding, and getting all of her wiggles out.  :)

The experience was fun, even though the Wolves lost (they are pretty terrible).  Hopefully we can do more of these soon!

28 Week Bump-date and A Little Thanksgiving

Here we are...it has already been another four weeks.  I can't believe that there are 12 weeks (give or take) until we meet this little guy!  The belly is continuing to grow and grow...although I am going to place part of the blame on the AmAzInG feast we had yesterday!

As far as the pregnancy goes...

I have gained either 19 or 12 pounds so far...the difference is if you take into consideration the 7 pounds I lost at the beginning of my pregnancy (which I like to count, because that was my "ideal" weight).  I didn't write down any of this information when I was preganant with Miley, so I can't really compare where I was at this time with her.  I am hoping to not put on any more than 10 more pounds, but we will see if that works out or not.  :)

I am starting to have a harder time sleeping...funny thing is, I am not waking up as frequently to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but now I am just having a hard time finding a comfortable postion to sleep in.  I move from side to side to side to side for probably a good hour until I can finally fall asleep.  Not sure if this drives me or Cameron more crazy.

I have heart burn at night All. The. Time.  This happened with Miley too, and she was born with a full head of dark hair (on par with the old wive's tale).  It will be interesting to see if our little man is born with as much hair-if so, he may be getting his first haircut shortly after birth!  :)  Miley still hasn't had her first haircut by the way...  :)

I am also carrying this baby lower than I carried Miley.  This has been causing more lower back pain, and more pain in my lower abdomen.  I have the feeling of carrying around a bowling ball, where with Miley, she hung out more up around my lungs, and I didn't really get the "bowling ball" feeling until she dropped.

As far as Thanksgiving, we spent our 4th Thanksgiving with Cameron's brother and his family, and one of my sister-in-laws brothers as well.  It was a relaxing day spent watching football, playing games, and of course, eating good food.  We let Miley skip her nap for the day, and she was running around having a ball with all of her older cousins.  We hardly heard a peep from her all day!  As always, I had good intentions of taking a bunch of pictures, but I only got a few of Miley getting horsey rides from her cousin, Nathan.

We went out for a bit today to check out the Black Friday deals, and we only came away with 3 things.  This is a big difference for us from the past couple years where we have bought some BIG ticket items, and spend the majority of the day shopping!  We may hit up a couple more places later, but other than that we are just going to enjoy the fact that Cameron has the day off work (General Mills gives the day after Thanksgiving off as well...when he was at Target, it was a normal work day!), and we are going to go see Harry Potter 7 tonight!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and enjoyed spending time with your loved ones!

Future Rock Star?

A little background on this video...

Miley is really into music - dancing, singing, and pretending to play instruments (guitar especially).  She loves dancing anytime we have the radio on, and her favorite shows on TV are the ones where there are lots of songs.  But the one she loves the best right now is the Imagination Movers.  I have to admit, it is a pretty catchy show and all the songs are really cute.

Anyway, she loves to get up and dance with the "Moovas"...and I finally caught it on video...singing, pretend guitar and all (she is a little shy at first, but gets into during the chorus of the song!).  Oh, and it is a little hard to hear the real song in the background, but you get the idea (or you can just turn your volume up really loud if you are curious what song it is!).  :)

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow...

We had our big first snowstorm of the season today, and the weather is not kidding around!  Starting at about 2 or 3 this morning, we have been getting big, wet flakes of the white stuff and it has not stopped all day.

Miley was THRILLED when she woke up and saw that it had snowed.  She sat at the door and just watched it come down.  We spent most of the morning, however, inside, and staying warm while Cameron went to play football in it for TWO hours!

We couldn't keep Miley out of the snow all day, so her and Cameron (as I type this right now, actually) are outside building a snowman.  I decided to stay inside and stay warm...plus I will be honest, my winter coat isn't fitting too well these days!

Movie Night!

On Saturday, since Daylight Savings Time ended that night (or next day), we decided to keep Miley up a little late with the hope that she would sleep in the next morning (or at least until her "normal" wake up time...between 7 and 8 am).  We just didn't want her waking up at 6, since it would feel like 7 to her.

So, to kill that extra time and to keep her up late, we decided to do our first "official" movie night.  We pulled out a bunch of blankets and pillows, made some popcorn, and all snuggled up together to watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Miley did well throughout most of the movie, with some getting up and running around here and there.  She thought it was pretty cool to be tucked into the blankets and pillows, and she now requests "pop-torn" on an almost nightly basis.

We thought that this was such a fun way to spend a Saturday night, that we may just do movie nights more often now!

And, Miley slept in the next morning!  Yay!

Halloween Festivities

We stayed very busy this Halloween, and had a lot of fun in the process!

About a week ago, we went to a Halloween Bunko party at some friend's house, and had a BLAST!  We haven't had a night out without Miley in a while, so it is always fun to get some adult time.  :)  We dressed up as a Wyoming football player (me) and a Wyoming cheerleader (Cameron)...ha ha!  Talk about role reversal...

On Friday night, the 29th, we went to the Fall Festival at our church.  There was a chili cook-off, with about 25 different kinds of chili to taste and to vote for your favorite, a pie eating contest, activities for the kids and a costume parade, doughnuts and hot chocolate, and then trunk-or-treat.  I wasn't sure how Miley would react to dressing up in her costume, because when she first got it, she didn't seem too interested.  However, once she put it on, she would not take it off...for two days!  She loved her little witch costume, and loved twirling around in it.  Miley also got the hang of the trunk-or-treat pretty quick and was really excited to find out that all she had to do was ask these people for candy and they would put it in her bucket!

On Saturday morning, we went down to Main Street in Maple Grove where they had a little trick-or-treat thing going on.  It was COLD so we didn't get too many pictures, but Miley again had fun filling her bucket.  At one point, she went into a store with some of her cousins and left Cameron outside holding her bucket.  Next thing you know, Miley was screaming, "BUCCCCKKET!!!" because she realized she needed it to get her treat.  She quickly found Cameron and went back, to make sure she didn't miss out on anything.  She got some candy, and then some other things, like toothbrushes (that should make the orthodontists in the family happy...).  After we finished, we decided to stop into 5 Guys for lunch and to warm up.

Yesterday, on Halloween, we just took it easy, and figured Miley had already gotten enough candy.  We went to Don and Cindy's house for a little Halloween party with our family, and had a spooky dinner, and played some Minute to Win It games.  I need a slap on the wrist for not taking any pictures of this.  :)

Overall, a very fun Halloween.  I definitely think Miley is at the age where she will remember this now, and will be looking forward to this holiday for years to come.  :)

24 Week Bump-date

Here it is...the 24-week belly in all it's glory (I can tell that I have definitely popped this week...ugh!).

Yes I have have my little picture buddy with me, and yes she is wearing part of her Halloween witch costume.  She won't take it off right now.  I. Love. Her.

So how am I feeling??  For the most part...GREAT!  Not too big, not sick, energy is OK, etc.

I am still having back pain pretty consistently, and working out is getting more uncomfortable.  I just do the eliptical a few times a week, but when I do, my belly just feels HeAvY!  You know what I mean??

I really can't believe that I am already 24 weeks!  I don't know if I have said this before, but this second pregnancy is going by SO MUCH FASTER than my pregnancy with Miley.  We are getting excited to meet little man....now I just need to start doing some shopping!  :)
