On Saturday, since Daylight Savings Time ended that night (or next day), we decided to keep Miley up a little late with the hope that she would sleep in the next morning (or at least until her "normal" wake up time...between 7 and 8 am). We just didn't want her waking up at 6, since it would feel like 7 to her.
So, to kill that extra time and to keep her up late, we decided to do our first "official" movie night. We pulled out a bunch of blankets and pillows, made some popcorn, and all snuggled up together to watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
Miley did well throughout most of the movie, with some getting up and running around here and there. She thought it was pretty cool to be tucked into the blankets and pillows, and she now requests "pop-torn" on an almost nightly basis.
We thought that this was such a fun way to spend a Saturday night, that we may just do movie nights more often now!
And, Miley slept in the next morning! Yay!

We are totally copying you... getting ready to watch How To Train a Dragon with the boys. Bode is so excited about the pile of blankets on the floor that we might not have much luck settling him down for the movie, but oh well. Thanks for the idea!
So cute! Adam does this with the boys a lot. They call it "Slumber Party" and I make them popcorn and sometimes brownines and they pile in our bed and watch a "scary" movie with him on the laptop. They love it and look so forward to it.
