Landon Lately

It is definitely time for an update on our little guy!!  He is now two years and 8 months (the age Miley was, when he was born...crazy!!), and we love every minute with him.

Landon continues to be just about the easiest kid ever, but you can tell that the terrible twos are starting to creep in!  Within the last couple of months he has just become much more stubborn, and wants things his way.  It almost just makes you laugh though, because he is such a sweet little guy.  His tantrums consist of him just lying face down on the floor somewhere and pouting for a couple minutes.  :)

Besides that, he continues to be a wonderful sleeper.  He never fusses AT ALL when you put him down for naps or bedtime.  He is a great snuggler, and loves to read books and sing songs beforehand, but if need be you can literally just lay him in his crib and he doesn't make a peep until it is time to get him up.  In the mornings and after naps, even if he is awake, you often can't tell because he just hangs out quietly in his crib until someone comes in to get him.  It is wonderful.

He is still just a boy, boy boy.  He loves sports, and will get into games on TV with Cameron now by always shouting "GO GO GO GO GO GO" when someone has the ball.  He loves playing football, and is always throwing, trying to catch, and kicking the ball around (this next series of pictures just makes me laugh)...

He is still very much into cars, trucks, trains, and the like as well.  He is not much of a TV / movie watcher, but if given the choice he would choose to watch Cars every. single. time.  Even though he loves all of his boy stuff, he still will play kitchen and play with Miley's dolls, too.  It's pretty sweet to see him tucking the baby doll in to the crib.  :)

I am loving the time that I get in the afternoons with him right now, while Miley is at school.  He naps for a good chunk of the time, but we usually get about an hour or so where it is just us.  I feel like he hasn't gotten a whole lot of one-on-one time since he was born, so it is fun to make up for that now.  It's so RELAXING to just be playing with one kid!!

Even though I think he enjoys the undivided attention while it is just him and me at home, he is always very eager to see Miley at the end of the day, and loves watching for her school bus.  Even though these two get into their fair share of scuffles, they sure love each other and have fun together.  Landon loves doing everything Miley is doing.  

He is still the best little sidekick a mom could ask for.  I still feel bad for all the times I have to drag him around with me to Miley's activities, but he just takes it in stride and is such a good little sport.  I cannot wait to get him in some of his own activities.  It is going to be so fun to do swimming, t-ball, etc with him.

We love this little guy so much, and just love him more and more all the time.  He has the sweetest little personality, and the biggest, best smile ever.  It's so weird that he is turning into such a little kid, because he just still feels like my baby, but I know that we have some fun times ahead of us with him (just as long as he doesn't grow up too fast!!).
