Christmas Vacay - New Year's Eve

I say this time and time again on this blog, but we have really been so blessed with some of the best neighbors.  For as long as we have been married, we have always spent New Year's Eve with family, but with our Minnesota family being out of the country this year, we were able to spend New Year's with our neighbors, who have really become a sort of extended family to us.

Our next door neighbors held the New Year's bash at their home for all of our families, including kids.  It was so fun, with yummy food, and great company.  The kids had so much fun running around and playing with each other, and the guys were able to play some poker while the ladies spent most of the time chatting....what we do best!

It was low key, but it was perfect.  2012 was a great year, but 2013 is going to be wonderful too!  Bring it on, '13!

Unfortunately, once New Year's was over, it was back to the daily grind for us.  After two weeks of fun, Cameron went back to work, and Miley went back to school on the 2nd.  Now we are just trying to get used to life again without loads of free time, 2 parents at home, and the after-holiday blues.  Cameron will start school again the week of the 21st, so at least we have a little time between now and then to slowly get back to reality.  :)

You guys always have something to do/somewhere to be for the holidays. You are lucky to have found so many great friends/neighbors up there! Did the kids stay up to watch the ball drop as well?

I love so much that you have such awesome neighbors. Seriously it makes me happy that you're surrounded by good friends. Our new neighborhood is really friendly too and everyone hangs out which is so cool! Of course someday it will be even COOLER when we are actual REAL neighbors and we can join you for all your fun neighborhood get togethers. (You know it's gonna happen ;)
