This weekend we got quite the snowstorm! It lasted most of Saturday and Sunday, and now we are left with about 9 inches of snow, but much higher drifts from the plowing. It is that wet, pretty snow, but the roads are icy and it is freezing outside! We even got sent home early from church yesterday, so we decided to take full advantage of the weather and enjoy it (and by we, I mean Cameron and the kids, of course).
We have the perfect hill for little kids to sled on in our backyard, and lots of the neighbor kids ended up in our yard for some sledding fun! Cameron spent a lot of the time shoveling, and just trying to keep up with that, but he took Landon and Miley out for a while. Landon had fun for about 20 minutes, then came inside to keep me company in the warmth of the house (the best way to enjoy it in my opinion). But Miley ended up staying out for a couple hours.
I am so glad this happened on a weekend, when we didn't really HAVE to be anywhere, and when Cameron was around to take the kids out! Now, if it can only stay decently pretty for a couple weeks then we should have a white Christmas!

I always hoped for snow days when I DID have to be somewhere(i.e. school, work, etc.) so that I could get a free day off! Who wants to be snowed in on their weekend? :) But seriously, you guys DO have the perfect sledding hill in your backyard... and I GUESS it is a good thing that you guys don't have anywhere to travel to this year. Boo. :(
So glad we haven't been hit yet! So not looking forward to winter! Looks like the kids had fun, that is a lot of snow!
It's weird to say this but I'm actually jealous that you have snow! (weird because I don't love snow, but I do love a white Christmas) That is so perfect that Cameron was home and could get out there with the kids and enjoy it! (not to mention shovel your driveway!) It seems like the big snowfalls in NH always came when Taber was at work and I was stuck digging us out :)
Cute pics and little Landon is a smart boy for coming inside where it was warm with mama! :)
