We were BUSY this last weekend for the holiday. We had perfect weather up here in MN, and definitely took advantage of it!
Friday marked the start of Cameron's summer hours at General Mills, which means half days on Fridays. Many of Cameron's coworkers had either taken the day off, or decided to work from home on Friday morning, so Cameron followed suit and worked from home for a few hours. Even though he was working, it was nice to have him around, and really felt like he had the whole day off.
That afternoon we went to check out the sales at the outlet mall that is not too far from us with our friends, the Ferrins. Last year we did the same thing, and found some killer deals! We were expecting the same thing this year, but came away pretty disappointed. The sales were OK, but nothing fabulous. We did manage to find a few cute things for Miley (Nike Shox, anyone??) and I found a couple things for myself. Even the shopper (insert sarcasm), Cameron didn't buy anything for himself. We came back to our house, and hung out for a while, making late night #1 of the weekend (12:30 am!).

Saturday was another fun-filled day. We had a relaxing morning, and then hit the pool that afternoon with the Minnesota Clark Clan 1.0 (we are version 2.0). It was HOT outside, and the water was kind of cold, so Miley wasn't digging it too much, but we still had fun. Despite the fact that Cameron and I both came away with sunburned backs!
Saturday evening we got together with some friends for a barbeque, and to watch basketball and a fight (well, Cameron watched basketball and a fight while I came home and stayed with Miley so she could go to sleep). We had so much fun hanging out, and enjoying what Cameron calls the "Best brats he has ever had!!" This however, made for late night #2 of the weekend (around midnight for me, between 12:30 and 1 am for Cameron!).
Sunday, we stuck to our normal routine of church, and then dinner with the Minnesota Clark Clan 1.0. It was nice to have a laid back day, and let Miley get a good long nap! That evening, we Skyped with the Oregon Clark Clan, and stayed up laughing and talking till about midnight (late night #3). We were pretty exhausted at this point, but hey...that's what holiday weekends are for, right??

Your weekend sounds very busy, but fun! I love Miley's little Nike shoes. Her hair is getting so long! And I love her swimsuit. She always looks adorable!
Ha! the first comment stole my comment! I was totally gonna say how much I love her shoes and her DARLING swimsuit! Also was freaking out over her long hair. Man, great minds must think alike! : ) Glad you guys had a great weekend and YAY for half day Fridays! Too bad they don't get those in the plants. Darn... : )
That is nice that Cameron will be able to spend some longs weekends with you this summer! I miss those days with Kipp. And I bet you are tired after all of those long nights... staying up late isn't as much fun as it used to be when you didn't have to get up in the morning and take care of a kid!
