One of Those Weeks...

This week was one of those weeks...you know, those weeks where the kiddo is sick, so you are restricted to the *tight* quarters of your home, so you don't go out in public and infect the rest of the world. :)

On Sunday, Miley started having a little cough, but we didn't think much of it, until she started to get a little fever with it too. Her little cough then turned into a big, nasty, ugly cough. She didn't sleep AT ALL that night. Well, I guess she did for 5-10 intervals if she was sleeping on Cameron or me.

Monday, she did not want to do anything except snuggle up on the couch (and take a nap with me in my bed). Her fever started getting higher and reached about 104, at which point I called triage, and gave them her symptoms and they told me to bring her to the doctor and get her checked out. It was of course, a virus, which I am thankful that it was not anything worse, but annoyed that you can't do anything for it, except wait it out. So we trudged back home for some more snuggling. She slept pretty well Monday night, thank goodness.

Tuesday was more of the same. Our highlight of the day was getting to go to Target to pick up some ingredients for soup. And then we went back home, for once again, more of the same.

Wednesday and Thursday we literally did not go anywhere. I was definitely getting a little stir crazy at this point! So Friday, Cameron (bless him!) stayed home so he could help out a little bit and I could make it to the gym and actually venture out of our apartment.

Fortunately, Miley seems to be feeling better now (as in no fever) but that cough is hanging around (is there a way to politely tell a cough that they are no longer welcome in your home??) and she has a fabulously runny nose to go along with it now.

Unfortunately, Cameron and I have somehow caught this little bug from Miley (imagine that!). So, we are totally thrilled to get to spend another week cooped up trying not to infect anyone else.

YEEESH.

I know y'all are jealous that you may not get to spend the majority of February sick and pent up inside. Can spring come soon, please? That's all I ask.

So, sorry about the lack of posts. But as you can see, our life is consisting of runny noses, sneezing, steamy baths and soup these days. So I will spare you the details (oh wait, isn't that what I just gave you?).

Hopefully soon I will have something more exciting to post. And I hope all of you are staying HEALTHY!!

Morgan's had a cough for 2 weeks and her doctor told us that seems how young kids can't take cough medicine to give her a teaspoon of honey to coat her throat. Yes, it works and she doesn't try to fight us to take it. Plus she can't OD on it either. HOpe you feel better soon!

I'm sorry, Wendy! It's so hard to have a sick baby. I hope you can all get some rest and start feeling better.

Yuk. I still think you should come over Tuesday for lunch (more soup!) Let's be honest we have had the same illness in our house for the last week, and didn't you say misery loves company...yup I thought so. No excuses, your coming over!!

So that's where you guys have been :) Apparently that bug is rampant, cuz we got it too, this is our week to be home-bound. Hope you guys are all better now, or SOON.

Just think about it this way--Miley is building up her immunity for when the real biological warfare starts--SCHOOL DAYS. Trust me, you will be happy down the road when she doesn't catch every virus from every classmate (hopefully)!
