You Know You Are Ready For Spring When...
...30 degrees doesn't sound all that bad so you decide to spend a delightful Sunday afternoon going for a "walk" (if that's what you can call you it, when you are just trying to keep your footing on the slippery, snowy sidewalks).
No, but really, you know you are a true MinnesOH-tan when this feels pretty good, or when your apartment is too warm so you open your balcony door to let in some of that 30 degree awesome-ness (not that we have done this, oh, say 5 times in the last week).
But really, can spring please come soon??

Happy Valentine's Day!
Miley just wanted to tell everyone that....

Happy Valentine's Day from us to you! We are having a pretty low key day due to the unwelcome virus that has taken up residence here. Unfortunately for Cameron, since the only thing flowing this past week was my nose, and not my creative juices, he is just getting some X's and O's for V-Day. Fortunately, Miley remembered to make her dad a card....

Lucky for me, Cameron totally came through and gave me some beautiful flowers, is making us a delicious steak dinner tonight, and I MAY or MAY NOT be getting something in the mail from here.

Hope you all are enjoying your Valentine's Day! XOXO!!!

The Best Cure
One of Those Weeks...
This week was one of those weeks...you know, those weeks where the kiddo is sick, so you are restricted to the *tight* quarters of your home, so you don't go out in public and infect the rest of the world. :)
On Sunday, Miley started having a little cough, but we didn't think much of it, until she started to get a little fever with it too. Her little cough then turned into a big, nasty, ugly cough. She didn't sleep AT ALL that night. Well, I guess she did for 5-10 intervals if she was sleeping on Cameron or me.
Monday, she did not want to do anything except snuggle up on the couch (and take a nap with me in my bed). Her fever started getting higher and reached about 104, at which point I called triage, and gave them her symptoms and they told me to bring her to the doctor and get her checked out. It was of course, a virus, which I am thankful that it was not anything worse, but annoyed that you can't do anything for it, except wait it out. So we trudged back home for some more snuggling. She slept pretty well Monday night, thank goodness.
Tuesday was more of the same. Our highlight of the day was getting to go to Target to pick up some ingredients for soup. And then we went back home, for once again, more of the same.
Wednesday and Thursday we literally did not go anywhere. I was definitely getting a little stir crazy at this point! So Friday, Cameron (bless him!) stayed home so he could help out a little bit and I could make it to the gym and actually venture out of our apartment.
Fortunately, Miley seems to be feeling better now (as in no fever) but that cough is hanging around (is there a way to politely tell a cough that they are no longer welcome in your home??) and she has a fabulously runny nose to go along with it now.
Unfortunately, Cameron and I have somehow caught this little bug from Miley (imagine that!). So, we are totally thrilled to get to spend another week cooped up trying not to infect anyone else.
YEEESH.
I know y'all are jealous that you may not get to spend the majority of February sick and pent up inside. Can spring come soon, please? That's all I ask.
So, sorry about the lack of posts. But as you can see, our life is consisting of runny noses, sneezing, steamy baths and soup these days. So I will spare you the details (oh wait, isn't that what I just gave you?).
Hopefully soon I will have something more exciting to post. And I hope all of you are staying HEALTHY!!

Bathing Beauty
There is no doubt that one of Miley's favorite things is bathtime. She could spend hours in there if we would let her, and she is so happy the whole time.

I have to admit...baths have been a good learning experience for her as well...she now knows how to put her face in the water, and plug her nose! :)
I know I would! :)
