Here to There

Well, some of you know this already, but Cameron has made the decision to leave here:

And to start a new job there:

We are very excited about this change, but also very sad to be leaving the Target family behind. Target has been so good to us for these past two and a half years, and I know it will be sad for Cameron to not see some of his co-workers everyday.

However, we have heard nothing but good things about General Mills. We have MANY friends up here that work for them, and they have so many good benefits, and just seem like a really fun environment to work in. Plus, Cameron will be actually doing a finance-related job, which he isn't currently doing at Target. This will allow him to get more of a taste for the finance side of things, and hopefully he can figure out if that is what he wants to focus on in grad school and for his future career.

Changes are hard, but we are excited about this new opportunity and for the new things to come!

*But oh man, am I going to miss that Target employee discount. Sigh.*

Thankful

I thought I better suck it up and post a few things that I am thankful for at this particular moment, considering it is Thanksgiving and all!

So, in no particular order here ya go:

  • Warm cozy sweats to lounge around the house in.

  • Late night movie nights with my wonderful hubby.

  • Online shopping that lets me knock out a huge chunk of my Christmas shopping without having to drag Miley from store to store. Hallelujah!

  • Amazing parents, who I wish I could someday be like.

  • Two sisters, that I am lucky enough to also have be my best friends, all rolled into one! How cool is that?!?!

  • Airplanes, that take me to go visit said parents and sisters.

  • Good smelling lotion.

  • Great friends up here that are my family away from family.

  • The fact that we are having a beautiful fall here in Minnesota, allowing us to enjoy nice weather for just a liiitttle bit longer before the freezing cold hits us.

  • One, huge, awesome, crazy set of in-laws that are so much fun to be around (only wish I could see everyone more!)

  • The gym, that is helping me keep my somewhat ok, pre-holiday figure in check.

  • For a daughter that makes me laugh and smile everyday with her kisses, her dancing, and her wild antics.

  • And, a hubby that is more than I could ever ask for!

Happy Thanksgiving, from this cute little Turkey!!

Daddy (Hair)Do

This morning, Cameron made his first attempt at fixing Miley's hair (well, besides just pulling it back in a clip). I don't think it turned out too shabby, and I know he was pretty proud of himself. :) He'll just keep getting better and better, right?

And just so you all can see, a picture to show how long Miley's hair is! It is a little wild and crazy these days (hence, the reason for always having it in a ponytail or pigtails!)

Gleason's Gymnastics

This week for our playgroup we went to Open Gym at Gleason's Gymnastics School. Miley had so much fun for the two hours that we were there, running around on the mats, jumping on the trampoline, playing in the foam pit, and walking across te balance beam (with the help of mom, of course!).

I love having activities like this for her, because she loves the opportunity to run around, and I love how it breaks up our day and gets us out of the house!

It kind of makes me excited for when she's a little older and can actually take classes at places like this... :)

Jumping on the trampoline!

Grandma and Granpa Clark Visit!

On November 10th thru the 14th, Cameron's parents were able to come visit. We spent a lot of time catching up, and letting Miley become familiar with them again...it didn't take long. In no time she was holding their hands and giving them kisses!

They came up specifically to see our niece Kayla perform in a starring role in her junior high Musical, Bye Bye Birdie. Kayla was so good during her performance, and it was all around, a really fun musical to watch.

We unfortunately didn't get a whole lot of pictures while they were here, but we were lucky enough to get some family pictures taken by Cameron's dad, and his awesome camera! I love how they turned out!

Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa Clark for coming to visit us, and we will see you in just a few short weeks!

Daddy's Girl...

In case there was any doubt, here is the proof that Miley is indeed her father's daughter...

Yes...that is ESPN on the TV.

Yes...she positioned herself in her "seat" with her snack all by herself.

Yes...she sat there, and actually WATCHED it for probably 15 minutes.

Cameron is so proud...

...and so needs a son.

(Don't mind the random things on the floor...all things that Miley has an affinity for playing with.)

Have a good week, y'all!

Trick-or-Treat!

Yes, I know. I have been a little bit of a blogger-bore lately, if you will.

You know how sometimes, it seems if you sit down at the computer to type a blog post, all that will come out is sdajknvjkfldsfiuew8iot???

Well that's how I have felt for the last week.

But I am back, and I figured I better post about our realy Halloween evening, seeing as how I have already posted about our fake Halloween evenings.

We went over to Cameron's brother's house so we could let Miley go trick-or-treating with her cousins. We couldn't have asked for better weather...it was chilly, but not so chilly that we would have to hide Miley's costume under a coat, and there was no wind. The first couple of houses, Miley was just happy to be out walking around, but then after that she figured if you ran up to the houses and knockd, someone would come out and give you candy! She thought it was great, knocking on every door, and even saying thank you (tay-choo) at some.

The whole group before setting out.

Miley thinking this is pretty cool!

Walking up to her first house...

Walking with cousin Kayla...

Switching out the ladybug hat for something a litte warmer.

Overall, I have to say that Halloween this year was an overwhelming success. Can't wait to see what next year brings! :)
