T-Wolves!

Last night, I got to go to my first pro basketball game, to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves in their season opener against the Sacramento Kings. Cameron always gets tickets to sporting events from people at work. On his birthday, we got to go to a Twins game against the White Sox and sit in the front row behind home plate! I unfortunately didn't have my camera with me that night, so I made sure to bring it last night, as we were in the fourth row. It was awesome!

Cameron and I before the game
My friend Erin and I

This guy, Kevin Love, is a rookie and the nephew of a Beach Boy!

Target sponsored the halftime show, and it was this lady called the Red Panda. She rode around on this really tall unicycle, and while doing this would flip bowls off of her feet onto the top of her head! It was pretty impressive!

The game came down to the last minute, and the Timberwolves ended up beating the Kings 98-96. It was a great game! And it helped that we could both sit down and watch the game because we left Miley at Cameron's brother and sister-in-law's house. It was wonderful! Hopefully this is just the first of a few NBA games this year!

I got tagged....not once, but twice!

This one's about my husband, Cameron (from Carolyn!):

1. Where did you meet your husband? Most people assume we met through football and dance, but we actually met when my friend Alexia and I asked Cameron to tutor us in our Business Calculus class. He had just aced a test that I had achieved a 33% on. I needed some serious help.

2. How long did you date before you were married? We started "officially" dating on August 28th, 2005. We got married on May 12th, 2007. So a little over a year a half before we got married. But we were really good friends for a while before that.

3. How long have you been married? Almost a year and a half.

4. What does he do that surprises you? There are lots of things, but a funny thing....most of you know Cameron is quite the penny pincher. So it always surprises me when HE suggests going shopping and buying pretty much anything we want.

5. What is his favorite feature? My favorite feature on him is his smile and his laugh. It is rare to see Cameron looking anything but happy.

6. What is his favorite quality? My favorite quality of his is his ease around anyone and everyone. As opposed to me, who is shy around new people, Cameron can talk to someone he has just met and is completely comfortable with it. Probably a huge reason he found a job so easily and I didn't!

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Oh tons. His original name though is Puddger. No, not like pudgy, or fat, but a play on the word "Puddin". Yeah, I still don't get it sometimes either.

8. What is his favorite food? He loves food. But if I had to say a favorite, probably just plain ol' steak.

9. What is his favorite sport? Any and all?? Probably football though.

10. When and where was your first kiss? August 28th outside my friend Tara's apartment.

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Go on walks and just talk or play games.

12. Do you have any children? Miley

13. Does he have any hidden talents? Hidden?? Hmmm...he is a very good "househusband" when he wants to be. All of my sister-in-laws and I have decided this is a Clark trait. He can cook and clean like no other when he really wants to.

14. How old is he? 25

15. Who said I love you first? Me.

16. What is his favorite music? Classic rock...such as Def Leppard and Journey, and Pink Floyd. But he really like any kind of music...from musicals to rap.

17. What do you admire most about him? Cameron manages to EXCEL (is that how you spell that? I get it confused with the computer program...ha ha!) at everything he does, from sports, to work, to family life. I don't know how he does it. I have seriously never seen him fail at anything. And he works hard to keep it that way.

18. What is his favorite color? He likes blue and green (same as Carolyn's Kip!).

19. Will he read this? Nope

20. Who do you tag? Lindsey, Gelsey, and Annie. :)

Numero Dos....from Lindsey

The second one...Lindsey tagged me with this.

So here are my 7 random or weird facts!

1. Kind of based off of one of Lindsey's random facts, I have been to 12 different countries, on 4 continents. These countries are...the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, England, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, China, and Australia.

2. I had six-pack abs from the time I was in sixth grade through just last year. It has been one of the few features on myself throughout those years that I really liked and was really proud of. I would like to say that this was the result of a lot of hard workouts and dedication, but it really wasn't. However, my awesome stomach is now long gone after having Miley!

3. I kind of have a crazy obsession with celebrities. I can't get enough of US Weekly magazines, E! News, and if you have ever heard of names I like for kids, most happen to be celebrity names. I swear this is not intentional. I definitely do not plan on naming my kinds after celebrities (Miley is NOT named after Miley Cyrus!), it just happens to be that I think these names are really cute. Maybe due to the fact that I am reading about them all the time.

4. This is the first time in my life that I have lived away from my parents. From 0-21 years, I lived with, or very near to my parents. This move to Minnesota has been very hard because of that. I miss being able to go home anytime I want to.

5. I have a very one-tracked mind. If I get into something, I can't stop. Whether it is cleaning, working on a craft, reading a book, or watching a TV show, I can't stop until it is done. This really annoys Cameron sometimes, like when I can't put down a book from the time he is home at night till long after he has gone to bed.

6. I was on the dance team at the University of Wyoming. I know most of you know this, but what you may not know, is that the three years that I was on that team probably built more confidence in myself than any other experience in my whole life. Between performing in front of thousands of people, and making some of the best friends I have ever had, it helped me find my niche and is probably what will always make up the biggest portion of my best (and worst at some times!) college memories.

7. I, along with the other members of my family, have the nicest handwriting anyone has probably seen in their entire life. I get more comments on my handwriting from people than anything else. I am pretty sure that is one of the reasons teachers liked me so much in college.

OK. I just don't know that many people on here yet, so I am only going to tag as many people as I can that haven't already been tagged. This includes Carolyn, Erica, Annie, Rachel, Caralee, Darci, and Kimberly.

Shots and Stats

Today I had the dreaded task of taking Miley to get her next round of vaccinations. I hate having to hold her little arms down while she gets stuck in the leg. However, she is a pretty good sport, and only cries for a couple minutes....after the trauma was over, she was as happy as ever. She was a good girl for the rest of the appointment-the first time I have made it through a doctor appointment without her crying (with the exception of her getting the shots!). As much as I hate taking her to these appointments, I also enjoy them, because we get to find out how big Miley is getting. However, I am not sure big is the word....here are her 4-month measurements.

Height - 23 inches - 10th percentile

Weight - 11 pounds, 11 ounces - 10th percentile

Head - 15 3/4 inches

So as you can see, she is just a little peanut. Not that she exactly has the large size genes on her side. :)

Someone is tired after their adventure at the doctor!

Showing off her beautiful Band-aids!

Tonight Miley was in such a good mood. So we had to take some pictures of her (kind of) smiling. This is pretty unusual, as she becomes pretty fascinated by the camera and quits smiling as soon as she sees it! And I figured we would throw in some tummy time pictures, just for good measure. You can also see in these pictures that Miley's hair is getting more and more out of control every day. It probably looks like I don't fix it most of the time, because it sticks of in the back all the time!

Roll Over, Miss Miley!

So, just a quick post to say that Miley rolled over from her back to her front today and I totally missed it!! I left her on her back downstairs, while I ran upstairs to grab her Baby Einstein blocks for her to play with. When I came downstairs, she was on her tummy with her head held up looking all around! I can't believe I missed it! I wasn't going to post about this at first, but I am following my sister's lead, and writing down these milestones so I can remember when I am looking back. Miley is four months and one day old! Just to keep everyone updated, Miley has already rolled over from her tummy to her back, at 11 weeks and 5 days old. However, she has not done it since, so maybe it was a fluke?? :)

Four Months Old!

Miley is four months old today! I can't believe how fast these four months have gone and how much she has changed already! I just thought I would put a couple pictures up of Miley on the day she was born, and a couple from today. She has a bit more hair these days, and she seems to be awake a lot more as well. :) My, how she has grown!

Super Saturday!! Feeling Crafty??

Today was "Super Saturday" for my ward at church. I have to admit, I had a BLAST! I love doing crafty things. After a day like today, I get motivated and tell myself that I am going to become crafty. However, I realize that I do much better in situations where people come up with the ideas and the supplies, and all I have to do, is DO it. I don't know if anyone really cares, but I was pretty excited about how my crafts turned out, so I decided to take pictures and share what I accomplished. Now if I could only be so creative on my own!!

Glass Etching....I did this with two of my pans

A travel baby wipes container...I love this! Perfect for throwing in the diaper bag or a purse, and REALLY cute!

Tile coasters....stamped with trees and the words "Love," "Friendship," "Hope," and "Forever"

Tile pendant necklaces...I made a couple for me, and the one on the right is for Miley, when she gets a little older of course!

And finally, a snowman family (representing Cameron, Miley, and myself of course!)

I could do this kind of thing all the time. I just loved the variety of all the things you could make...and I didn't even get around to half of them!! Now, what better way to end my "Super Saturday" than to take a nice long walk with these two cuties?? :)

Fall Colors....Bring Snow Showers??? Hopefully Not Too Soon!!

Well, fall is definitely in the air here in Minnesota. The leaves on the trees are BEAUTIFUL right now. Cameron and I found this area in our neighborhood, where there was about every color of leaves you can imagine, and decided to try to get some pictures. Happy Fall!!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

This weekend we went to Apple Jack's Orchards. I swear, this is the thing to do this time of year in Minnesota. There is an apple orchard where you can pick your own apples, a raspberry patch, and a pumpkin patch. You were able to go pick your own at all of these. This was the first time I had gotten to go...Cameron went last year with his brother's family, but I had to work. This year was fun to bring Miley and get her pictures with all of the "country" backgrounds. Excuse some of the funny expressions on Miley's face. Between missing her morning nap and struggling to hold herself up in some of the positions we put her in, she looks a little distressed in some of these. :)

Throughout the orchard, there were various "photo opportunities," if you will....

How tall this fall??? We all wanted to find out!!

Here is a picture of us with Miss Scarecrow....

And Miley driving her first "tractor"...

We met some friends at the orchard, and we all had babies there. We got the three together for a photo op. And of course, Cameron and I had to get our pictures with Miley and the pumpkins.

There was also a mini petting zoo....they had some chickens and some goats. Miley seemed pretty fascinated with the goats and wouldn't stop staring at them!!

And now to end this post....a family picture. You can't really see it, but there is a river behind us in all the trees. Very pretty scenery. All in all, it was a very fun day. We are glad that we got to bring Miley to experience this, even though I am sure we will remember it more than she will!!!

Catch up!

Well, this will be my first blog on my own posting my own pictures and such, so we will see how that goes. :) Not too much has been going on here lately. We have just been trying to settle down into a routine after all the traveling this summer. Miley is finally on some kind of a sleeping schedule-taking three regular naps a day, and going to bed at around 7:00 pm and waking up around 7:00 or 7:30 am (with a couple of wake ups in there of course!!). It is nice now to have some kind of predictability during the day. As for other updates about Miley, she has rolled over once, but has not repeated for a few weeks. She has started to laugh a lot more, and now we find ourselves trying to do whatever we can to hear it!

Lately the Minnesota weather has definitely been "fall-ish". Miley is still wearing her 0-3 months clothes, and we were expecting most of these clothes to just fit through the summer. Therefore, we have a lack of long sleeved tops for her. One chilly day she wore this adorable little hoodie dress. :)

Within the last couple of weeks, Miley has definitely "discovered" her hands. She is always staring at the them and holding them. This new discovery has also led to the realization of putting them in her mouth. Miley will no longer take her pacifier. She prefers her fingers much more. It is hard to find her without her fingers in her mouth anymore!!!

Fingers in the mouth...

And more fingers....

And again...

Finally no fingers!!

Well, that is all for now. This weekend we are going to an apple orchard, so I will try to blog again after that!!
